do I check availability for a Domain Name?
You can check a domain's name availability at
www.register.com .
How
do I register my Domain Name?
South
Florida Goline can register a domain name for you. We recommend that
you register for a minimum of 2 years. Domain Names will be registered
to our clients. If you have a registrant in mind, we will be more
than pleased to work with them.
Can
I transfer an existing Domain Account?
Yes. You should keep your old account. You will
still need to access your e-mail and web pages from your current host
until the transfer is completed.
Can
I take my Domain Name with me?
Yes. If your domain is registered to your name.
All you have to do is have your
future host transfer your name to your new IP address. Your current
web site will not be
visible until your new changes take effect.
How
long does it take to setup a New Domain Name Account?
Our servers will be configured within 24-48
hours for new domain name accounts and
for most existing accounts. If transferring an existing account it
will depend on your
previous host. After 72 hours you should contact your previous host
to delete the
domain name from their records and update their DNS record. This process
should be seamless. Once your account is setup you will be notified.
A domain account user
will be given a temporary URL until the completion of the domain registration.
Do
you offer Web Page Design Services?
Yes, South Florida Goline offers web site design
services. Our talented designers compose each web site. We do not
use pre-formatted forms or templates to create our web sites. Should
a client's needs exceed our three available web site packages, we
can provide tailored customized design services.
How can I Access My Mail
from my computer?
You can access your mail from Outlook Express
which comes on the following operating systems: Microsoft Windows
XP, 2000, 98 and 95SR2. Our free Technical Support will assist you
in setting up your e-mail accounts.
Are
there any Hidden Costs?
South Florida Goline stands behind their submitted
proposals to prospective clients and there will be no hidden added
fees.
Do
I need any Special Software to view my web site?
No, as long as you have Internet Explorer or
Netscape Navigator anyone can view
your web site from anywhere in the world.
Do
you offer Dial-up internet access?
No, you will need a local dial-up service in
order to retrieve e-mail addressed to your web
site. We can provide you with a list of ISPs for this service. South
Florida Goline is committed to providing our clients with superior
web design and hosting services. By not having to maintain hundreds
of modems, we are able to devote more time to the needs of our customers'
web presence and to the enhancements of our Web Servers.
